 Gamers Forum Turns 4 years Old |

This week, Gamers Forum officially turns 4 years old. Started back in August 2006, we have come very far. Congratulations to the forum and I thank all of you for your help and support with the forum! Couldn't be here without you guys.

I know it has been a long wait for this mod tryout to be over but finally, it is. I would like to thank everyone for their support of Gamers Forum. We received quite a few applications and unfortunately, we were not able to pick everyone from the application pool to be a moderator. We have picked three new moderators to be part of our team.

Post length and frequency limits - what are your thoughts? |

We're considering increasing the limit on how many characters must be in a post and how frequently a user can make posts to attempt in combating spam, at least a little.
Right now, the limits are at least 10 characters in each post and at least 15 seconds between posts. Answer the poll and if you are so inclined, post your thoughts!

Network Maintenance 7/25/2010 |

I received word from our datacenter that the network this forum is on will go under maintenance on July 25th between 2 AM and 5 AM EST. The downtime is expected to be around 15-20 minutes but things can take longer than estimated.
So if you see the forum down, don't panic and don't contact me. The DC techs are at work. And I know quite a few people are on here between 2 and 5 am so you're most likely to see the downtime.
This is just a heads up.

ive went on alot of forums and get kicked off for bad posting and over posting and i dont get what is over posting a post count? just tell me the rules about this forum.

We are looking to fill a few empty moderator positions here on Gamers Forum. This is open for all staff members that do not have mod powers as well (gfx pros + Game reviewers).
There are a few restrictions. If you have less than 50 posts or have not been a member for more than 30 days you cannot apply. If you have more than 4 Infraction Points on your account, you are also forbidden to apply. (Note that it's 4 points, and not 4 infractions)
