Hey, i have a request for a "How to make a signature" guide, or just how to make one in general. Thanks!

as for making a signature you need an image editing software such as Gimp or Photoshop - after that just go to pixel2life.com and pick out some tutorials. There is more than one way to make a signature so giving you a "how to make a signature" guide wouldnt be as helpful as telling you where to get a load of them for free and get more variety
So, do you have anywhere to get loads of em for free..? And variety..? =-) Also, i meant as well, how do you actullay add the sig to your profile on this site..?

u need 10 posts and be a member of our forum for 24 hours minimum - then in ur usercp u will see edit signature option come up :)
as for sig making tutorials go here - www.pixel2life.com or www.tutorialized.com - they have some good walkthroughs
before you can make anything you need the proper programs for it - i recommend photoshop but it costs a lot of $$

yea but its a bit more difficult to master in my opinoin but u can find it at www.gimp.org

I think the reason gimp is more difficult to master is because people are more used to photoshop

God... I just spent 3 hours on my new sig-to-come, and its still 4 hours till i can put it up. :mad1: lol. EDIT; Btw god, on the name; God of Pain, how do you make, so to say, "Sword Slashes", through the actual name?

well he just meant Google what you asked here - just google "signature tutorials" and you'll get tons of results from that :)
Umm... Maybe I'm being dumb here, but how do i know when i can activate my signature... Or rather, how do i know the exact time i joined?

u cant check the exact time but i checked for u - u should wait about 3 or 4 more hours then look
3 or 4 hours!? I remember registering at about 7:00 yesterday...EDIT; Err, i can make my sig now... Except how do i insert an image from my photoshop? It's saved to my desktop.

go to an image host - i recommend photobucket - www.photobucket.com
sign up >> upload image >> get code for the forum - should be tags and just insert that

sign up - and then go to ur profile, u'll see browse button
there is a help section on there with pics explaining it all, just read that and u'll be fine
The closest thing photoshop and photobucket supports is .jpeg, not .img or .imp or whatever lol. Sorry for the trouble. :-). But i just tried uploading it in jpeg, and then i copy and pasted the link on this site to put it in, and now nothing appears. Edit; Only the link is below my name, see?

put the image tags around it - put this around it
put that link between those two codes, and it'll work - already mentioned that in my previous post
Um.... Sorry, i'm just going to not have one. I don't understand.. As in, "put image tags around it": it=what? Link between two codes? Lol.. I may just be taking this the wrong way.

and about ur registration status - i read the time wrong so thats why i told u wait 3 or 4 more hours when it was ready an hour earlier -

yea you can have 2 of them, well you can have 3 but usually more than 2 looks ugly
to add a nother sig image just go to ur signature and just add the image code with the url right under or above that one

Also, i need to know something... If i get a render off planetrenders.net, most of them have a locked layer, if so, how do i take the specific figure out, ex; halo sig with locked layer, (just taking out the masterchief)

no need to double post - just use the edit function
and i guess you can render the render lol -use lasso or pen to cut out the image
but im not sure what locked layer you are talking about - i never ran into that and i've gotten renders from planetrenders
By locked layer, i mean this; If there was a picture of master chief, and a background in the back, it would all be one layer, and locked. So when you use the move tool, you would move all of the content including the background, not JUST spiderman like on yours

then its not a render, renders are just a certain image cut out from the rest of the picture - if ur talking about the signatures some of the users put to tell everyone that they did it - you can use the erase tool and erase over it lol :D and then move it
Yea, but what i meant was im getting locked layers OFF planetrenders.net, so how does that work..?

they have a forum so you can ask there - i cant really provide any info or support for their products sorry - i dont know if its just u or others that get it cuz i never seem to have trouble with that

if u get a locked layer all u got to do is right clik on the layer then choose "layer from background"
Yea, but say if the picture had a black background, you would have to drag the black in as well...

for it to be a render it has to have a transparent background, r u sure ur getting the right stuff? with a background its just an image - just try it first and see what happens because sometimes the black is transparent such as the white sometimes

oh yea on planet renders. Dont save the picture as it is. First you have to log in then click on the picture then save it as png.

OHHHH is that what you're doing vamp? you have to have an account then click pic - u'll get pop up then right click and save pic as - they aren't "locked layers" they are just not the renders you are looking for, they are gif and jpg versions of those
Ahh yes... I figured it out a couple days ago, but just checked back. I didn't realize i had to click it first, then it would be a white background. Thanks to everyone who went through pointless trouble for me.. :D
