View Full Version : So I watched Lady in the water..

... and kind of found it undeserving of the abject hatred you see all over the internet. In fact, I rather enjoyed it, despite going into it assuming it would suck. Paul Giamatti as usual, does fine work, and Bryce Howard pulls off the otherworldly waif bit like a charm. The cinematogrphy is lovely, the visual effects classy, the story whimsical and messy and silly as any decent fairytale is apt to be.

Am I wrong in thinking that a few too many critics took the film a bit too seriously I can't quite comprehend the vitriol.

Well, I didn't enjoy the movie too much.
Of course there were perks to it, but overall I didn't find that good.

I never trust movie critics anyways, they always let me down.

One of the most epic dissapointments for me. I found it WAY to pretentious. As if M Night was saying \"hey... if I make it theyll watch it\"
