Code Name Durango ( Next Gen Xbox ) News
*REMEMBER THIS SHOULD ALL BE CONSIDERED AS JUST A RUMOR*

Article: The Next Xbox Has Mandatory Kinect, Game-Swapping and New Controllers, According To Leaked Info

The guy who leaked the information is supposed to have a development kit for the next gen xbox.

"The next-generation Xbox—the one that will follow the still-popular Xbox 360—will run multiple games at once, require game installations, and will only work when a much-improved version of the popular but divisive Kinect sensor array is plugged in. The new version of the Kinect motion-control sensor array will be included with every Durango sold."

Requires installations sounds like a big graphical boost to me. You'll always be able to run games at higher performance with installed content to your hard drive. Battle Field 3 is a perfect example for that. Also requires a Kinect? Sounds fishy to me. If it's true looks like they're moving along the lines with nintendo. Also running more than one game at once, not sure what the point of that is, sounds pretty fake to me.

"...describing the graphical leap from current-gen console gaming like going from playing Halo 2 on an original Xbox to playing Crysis on a powerful PC."

This sounds over exaggerated to me, still interesting.

Also states the controller will virtually be the same, just new design, most likely same size and buttons.

    Rumored Kinect Improvement:

Doesn't look like it has improved much, but whatever floats their boat.

A lot more is stated in the article, but the more I read, the more it seems faked. But hey, this is the first Microsoft news I've seen that sounded even a little credible.

    Echo
With each snippit of news that comes out for any next-console, it makes me want to buy it less and less.
Game developers need to delve in a lot deeper in what a customer wants.
I want freedom and simplicity, like, the ability to go to a retailer and buy a game, go home, sit down and play the full game.
