    Grandia Battle Gameplay
Now if any of you have kept up with some of my posts, you've heard me brag about Grandia's battle system. Here's a little youtube video that shows the system in action but to really get a feel for you, you'd probably have to play the game yourself.

It is turn-based, I will start off there. Enemies and players have certain speeds, and in the top left-hand corner of your battle screen you will see an IP gauge that goes around a circle. That's how you can tell who will be going next. You have two choices on attacks, critical (1-hit for good amount of damage) or combo (multiple small hits that can't be canceled). In order to stun an enemy, you can use a critical attack when the enemy is between COM and ACT and you can stun them for a moment to basically wipe the floor with them. There's many cool features during battles, and that's not limited to the awesome move sets. You can do aerial combos if you actually happen to knock an enemy off their feet and hit them while in the air for extra damage.

Also, as you can see in the video, you can actually avoid battling if you so desire and if you see the enemy, you can stun them with a quick sword hit so you can either avoid the battle altogether or just fight them with an advantage.

I'm sure I could go into more great details but you should really have a go at the game themselves. They really haven't changed the battle system from their first game to their latest and why not? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
