I guest this is better RPG MAKER VX

it's not free but it's way better.

I use RPG Maker VX, didn't pay for it though. :P

I'm making these games for a portfolio when I go to get a job in the industry.

Enjoy, expect 20 minutes or so game time, this is just a demo of Haven 2, feel free to play Haven which is an abandoned project though (unfinished game).
