im gonna have to agree, Ocarina of time was amazing, one of the first kind of free roam games (won game of the year ), that game was hard as hell :P

Hardest game I've ever played would probably be, The Impossible Game. It's a indie game availble on the xbox live marketplace

It's called I Wanna Be The Guy. Nearly impossible to beat. Took me literally hours to get up to and beat the first boss. Here's a YouTube video. Looks simple, it's not. It's a free download game for PC.

Laugh if you want... Resident Evil - Directors Cut. Running from one side of the map, all the way to the other side to grab an item you need... While having to run back through all the BS you avoided. Bah. I still curse this game to today, but for some reason, deep down, I still love it.

Not going to lie, I think the monster hunter games are some of the hardest. The learning curve seems to kill a lot of people. And it just keeps getting harder. =P

But thats what makes it fun I guess. After thinking about it forever, and that has to be the reason.

Ikaruga! The concept of the colors flipping confuses the hell out of me no matter how many times I play it.
Also, now that it is out on phones, the control is a bit harder too.
