Yes and no. I don't think they'll sweep the world like in the movies, but there are some kind of flesh eating zombies around now thanks to these new synthetic drugs.
There was another attack on a homeless man by a man with "vampire teeth" in CA recently.

Is no one else wondering WTF? is going on? I know Heroin/Cocaine etc are horrible drugs and lead to murder and crime but.... do they always want to eat people?

Because people are idiots. Makes me ashamed to sometimes be human, if I could, I'd stay a computer forever.
