That is because Oblivion kinda sucked.

Oh, that's not true. Sure, I found the main quest rather boring (and too damn short) but it was totally worth it when they released the Shivering Isles Add-On. I NEVER felt more at home in a game before, especially the characters were lovely and it was colourful

I will have to admit the Shivering Isles expansion was really good. But the main game and the Knights of the Nine were not very good.
