Default Joining a gym vs. working out at home

Ok, so I've been thinking about joining a gym because I've kind of let myself go and need to get back to looking like a model... hahaha just kidding. But serious on the gym part. I just wanted to know if you guys belonged to a gym and if you liked it. Or do any of you just work out at home on your own time? Mostly just want to get back into yoga and lifting weights again so I don't look like... well me. :P lol

    Any tips?

    Thanks.

i used to go to my high school gym all the time when i had it - well it was a class lol but i went cuz it was body building and i can lift pretty heavy weights - outside of that i had no time to actually join one even though there are a lot of gyms around here

have fun though - i never tried yoga and i doubt i will lol

I'd rather not pay a membership to work out on "professional" equipment when it's not necessary. I work out 3 hours a day at home using basic cheap equipment and just doing regular exercises.

Remember if the next day your muscles are sore it's normal, it means you are getting your muscles used to it.

of course its normal - when ur working out ur just tearing up your muscles - then ur muscles work to repair themselves by growing more muscle cells - that causes the muscles to get bigger and stronger

dont ask how i know - i used to have a teacher that loved to work out but couldn't cuz of a bad shoulder lol

I know a few things about working out and everything just didn't know if you all thought going to the gym was worth the money or not.
