Well why this is thread worthy, well he started playing for the Reds in 1944(for 1 game before not playing another 8 years) at the young age of 15 years, 10 months, 11 days old, that's insane . In a relief appearance he got 2 outs and then lost his composure. Also amazing fact at 15 he could throw a fastball 85 mph.

i have to be honest and say he wasn't a guy that was on my all time known list for baseball players but RIP - I have heard of it but never paid attention and 85mph at 15 yrs old is amazing indeed - faster than a lot of 30 and 40 year olds today

lol that was like a dream for me when i was 15 - pitching for the yankees, these days im just slowly drifting away from that dream and going into business
