Going to try installing Linux on my awful laptop to see if I'll be able to play LoL on it so I don't have to take my desktop everywhere.

Why? Linux supports some Intel Graphics drivers, mines and older card anyway.

I think it has something to do with the way wine makes use of opengl or something like that. Running programs like LoL through wine put more stress on your computer.

I have an Intel express chipset 2 and when I tried playing LoL on Ubuntu it would just give me a black screen, which the forums said was due to problems with wine and Intel graphics. That's the whole reason I switched to HoN, which has a Linux client.
