He does a terrible job about describing linux, the article is put toward people that don't know much the operating system, but yet he uses terminology that they wouldn't even know.

I think that what he meant by that was that since Windows and Linux are different they have the ability to surpass one another. If one was a copy it could obviously not be superior to the original. Speaking of copies this is a Windows-NT OS.

Yeah, I figured, it's just worded horribly, and confusing because he switches points of views constantly.

I would say that you can't really say that Linux is user-friendly or not because there are differences between how people interpret something as user-friendly. Plus there are many different flavors of Linux which have various ways of doing things.

that'd be cool if windows xp wasn''t basically free. Like if they had that for windows 7 it would be sweet. Not worth all the glitches and errors you would probably get though.

I am guessing that he isn't really a professional writer. Probably someone who is interested in Linux, possibly a software developer, who is writing an article on his opinion of Linux

Well, I think as he described user friendly, something that can be used with no or low experience. If you put people that have never used a computer. Had them use both windows and Linux, I'm sure almost all of them would say windows is easier to run.

I would say he's lacking the writing skills of a high school student. I'm just bored and felt like picking it apart to be honest though.
