Default Reinstalling Windows (in case of failure)

    Ok.. Re-installing Windows 101.

    1) Make sure you have a LEGAL install CD with LEGAL CD Key.
    2) Turn on your PC and get into the BIOS settings. (hit F1, F2, F8, or F12 depending on you computer when its booting up)
    3) Once in your BIOS settings, go to the "Boot Sequence" option, and change it so your CD drive boots first.
    4) Exit and save changes
    5) Make sure the LEGAL CD we spoke of earlier is in the drive, and restart your computer.
    6) Follow the on-screen instructions for installing your OS (Operating System).

Bonus Tip: When the option to completly reformat your harddrive comes up, take it. Don't try installing over your old partition. Just start from scratch.

    Hope this helps.

PS: Sticky this if needed Linux (other moderator with the power to sticky)

Would suggest making a back-up disk also.
sucks to lose all that stuff while reinstalling the os.

my os failed twice... it was from running avg anti virus... weird... but yeah that's pretty much what you got to do. but what linux helped me do was go in the command prompt and to like 30-40 lines of coding and stuff. took forever and now my computer's ok... for now.

Every year? why? IMO, I suggest you install 3rd party program like Advanced windows care to resolve some probs on your PC, and fix some probs regularly. The best part is, the software is free, except for pro version.

I download ISO directly from MS website and burn it to a USB stick.
