    I always call it the name lf the drink. I never use either of those.

    I say Soda, or i just call it by there original name (sprite, pepsi, etc.)

    I will understand when someone says Pop, or Soft Drink...but i will LOL if i hear someone say Sody-Pop

    Then just shortened to soda or pop.

    yeah i think it was soda-pop but i remember my history professor saying it was just pop at first then soda came out of no where

    Nah, I mean my mom will say something like "could you take the juice out of the cabinet" and I would know she means a teabag--it's just something weird my family does.
