    Default The Sims

The Sims was released in 2002 for multiple consoles. The Sims was one of the first live simulation games. Now, there are multiple different sub titles for The Sims. Thus, making it available to try different life styles.

You get to select from 3 different game modes. You can play "Get a Life" which is basically, the main story line. You start at your Moms house until you get a job. Then you move into a house with friends that you meet along the way.

The next game mode is "Freestyle" which allows you build your house and do as you please. You don't have to worry about game objectives. I find my self playing this more than the story mode. The story mode is way to hard, because you have to find like 6 friends, do game objectives you progress into the game. Then on top of that, you have to keep your guys motives up.

Last is your 2 players function. It is exactly like freestyle, but you have you have a friend to play with. Which, makes it twice as fun. I use to play from the point when my friends came over and when they left. Keep in mind, before you can play with a friend, you have to move out of your moms house in "Get a Life" mode.

Before you can start any of these modes, you have to create your character. You can decide what he/she wears, looks like and how he/she acts. When you change the personality of your character, it changes what your character will do. For example, If you make it so you character is really messy, it won't pick up dirty dishes, make your bed, or pick up trash. Which I find really annoying, because if you have a dirty house, your character becomes unhappy.

After, you create your character, you have to build your house. For me, this is the most boring part in the game. It takes forever and I can't get all wallpaper to go on right. So I just leave the walls white, its just a waste.

So, after your done wasting your time building your house you can finally start playing. One of the first things you want to do is get a job. You only get so much money at the start and it goes pretty quick. You can survive on sculpting or paintings, but I wouldn't recommended it. There are 8 types of jobs in the game. The one that pays the most is the "Criminal" job. To unlock it, you have to get robbed, on "Get a Life" mode.

Though, to keep your job, you must make sure your character is happy. To keep him happy, you must make sure his motivates are up. There are 8 different Motives. Hunger, Hygiene, Bladder, Energy, Fun, Social, Room and Comfort. To get promoted in your job to make more money, you must increase your skills. Each skills you need is different for each job you take. If you take the career of a Singer, then you obviously won't need to get your "Body" up. The skills consist of: Cooking, Mechanical, Creative, Body, Logic and Charisma.

You also need relationships to get promoted. At some point in your career you will need friends. To get friends, you have to socialize with other people in your neighborhood. This is the only part in this game that I don't like. It's hard to keep your friends, when you need to do a million different things.

The graphics for this game are not that great, but in a game like this graphics don't matter. As long as you can tell, what is what. Their is a few things they could of changed to make the game a bit more fun. Like being able, to play 2 players in Career mode. Or even allow 2 players to live in two different houses. I'm not sure if that could be done at the time, but it would of been a lot funner.

    Graphics - 7/10
The graphics could of been better, but it wasn't bad enough that it hurt to look at it.

    Game Play - 9/10
This game allows you to do change the game play by your self. There isn't a set things that you have to do.

    Life Span - 9/10
I probably played this game for over 300 hours. This is one of my favorite PS2 games that I have. It's a lot of fun and I could play for hours straight

    Story Line - 7/10
The story line isn't that great. You just move to house to house moving in with other friends.

    Overall - 8/10
If you have never played a Life Simulation game before. I say you should pick this game up. It will be cheap, probably 10 dollars. This is the best Sims game that I played in my opinion

Sorry about the lack of pictures. I had a hard time finding the ones that I wanted. So there isn't much.
