Xbox question
Do you need an ethernet cable to use XBL? or can you use a phone cable?
-
do you have an xbox already? or just ahead? i don't own one myself but if i had to guess, you need ethernet for broadband speeds, phone line can't transfer that much info back and forth but I am only 90% certain, i dont own an xbox myself
-
I have one and I got like 5 months free xbl gold.
-
don't have a 360, but pretty sure you'd need a ethernet cord
-
K thanks. anyone know how much one would cost me? I need a real long one 25feet plus.

here are a few:
25' for $9.49 - Newegg.com - Cables Unlimited UTP-1400-25G 25 ft. Cat 5E Green Cat5e Snagless Patch Cable - Network Cables
25' for $4.59 - Newegg.com - Rosewill RCW-574 25ft. Network Cable Cat 6 White - Network Cables (rosewill makes long lasting products, this is a good deal)

The xbox pro and elite do come with ethernet cables.
But they're not that long, so....
Also, Microsoft sells wireless adapters for the 360.

How long? Sony also is retarded and only gave a 8 ft or so cord
-
I'm assuming they provide a 6-10 ft cord - every router I've bought in the past came with a 6-10 ft cord lol
and also, I just checked, I have a 50ft cord going from my room to my sister's computer lol...forgot about that cord
