Noble Map Pack
Bungie has a map pack scheduled for Reach set to drop on November 30th. It includes the maps:
Anchor 9
Tempest
and
Breakpoint
"The Noble Map Pack will include all new Achievements worth a total of 250 Gamerscore and will be available for purchase for 800 Microsoft Points either directly from Xbox LIVE or with a Microsoft Points card sold at retail locations worldwide. "
On a separate note, they've revealed that the level cap will be lifted and more armor will be unlocked as soon as the community hits 117 million challenges.

Bah, we shouldnt have to pay for them, after 3 games they should give them to us for free.
Maps look nice, i suppose, but im more of a big open area person

The only one that's really confined is Anchor 9. As far as paying for them goes, it takes time and effort to make the maps. I'm not saying I like the price point, but I don't see a reason why it should be free.

So the armor updates and stuff will be for free ya ?
Btw Breakpoint...is it the same map as you do in campaign? Where you have to defend that woman in the lab? If it is.. it's awesome!

if we are paying 50 bucks a year plus 60 per game we want. That 50 bucks should pay towards atleast two or three map packs we want. Xbox live still makes money, we get want we wait which in return means we buy more games and people still make money.

Like I said, I never agreed with the price point, but there's not much we can do about that, people have showed they're willing to pay it, they'd be stupid not to charge that much for LIVE.
However, if you spent days on end staring at a screen making, testing, and fixing bugs for just ONE map, would you want to give it out for free or would you try to make money on it?
Also - just a final note: A good majority of the people that play CoD and Halo only play big-name games with multiplayer, because it's just that - a big name, it's bound to be well known. Chances are they're not going to want to buy that and several other smaller games.

Yeah, the armor that is unlocked is more of the stuff you buy with credits, so once you meet the pre-reqs, they unlock and you can buy em using your in-game monays.
I believe it is on that level, but I think it's sort of like a fixed up version of Glacier made for BTB and Invasion.

I love map packs in general for any game. Just hate paying for them. Because the reality is the game costs you $100+ when all is said and done.
