They should regulate what you get to healthy foods

I saw this last night, personally not that worried about it, I hardly ever buy pop anymore.

The thing with healthy foods is that they're so much more expensive. Anything healthy is almost always at least a dollar more. For example I went to get groceries with my parents last weekend. And we were going to get a pound of ground beef. The regular stuff was like 3,00 dollars and the lean ground beef was almost 5 dollars. Really no difference except has less fat in it. Everything is like that, wheat bread is always more than white. kinda dumb, and people wonder why we get the unhealthy food.

I say I want to get fit and eat healthy, but who could resist delicious saturated fat, mmmm :P

I drink maybe 6 a week. And, let's say this does pass and I live in new york, I don't drink alcohol, and water is okay by me, gets boring eventually though, so why ruin something for people who aren't abusing sodas.
You'll still be able to buy sodas, just not a large amount. So, if you only drink 6 sodas a week, then it's not ruining anything for you, because you drink an average amount.

Maybe if the average American didn't have a weight problem this wouldn't happen,

I think the fact that there is super size drinks and food caused the weight problem in the first place. Along with lazy people lol.

I was quick to rant, and didn't notice the title, the 16 oz part.
It is still kinda dumb, just not as stupid as I though, <.>

True that! It's the same over here in the UK though. You can add stuff to a meal deal from a fast food place, but I'm thinking, "isn't this **** already bad enough!?"

It won't make a real difference. An obese person may lose 5-10lbs with limited access to soda, but they'll still be obese.
