Why ban used games i see no purpose in such things , this will obviously increase profits but it is not reasonable to the consumer. But who doesnt love the smell of a new game So its basically a catch 22 ... in my case

What if you get a new game, play it for a bit and absolutely hate it. If that game can't be played on another system, it then goes to waste.

Yea, but the companies don't care about that lol They got the initial cost for the game which is all they care about :P

Well it's pretty much confirmed that this won't happen. Sony already confirmed that used games will still be playable, Microsoft has said basically nothing about anything. But it would be economic suicide if Microsoft chose to ban used games. So safe to say this won't happen in this generation.

Agreed. I was pretty sure from the very beginning nothing would ever become of this. No company is that stupid.

Well yeah, but it's still something that could be worth discussing. It may happen in the future, just not this generation

Oh yea, I agree. I didn't mean it wasn't a good conversation. I just find it amusing that so many people everywhere just heard this rumor and assumed it was true right off the bat and flipped out lol

I normally stick to PC anyway, but I never really buy used games on PS3 or Xbox. Although I do think it's lame that they're doing this because there are a lot of people who need to save money by buying used. They're just money-hungry jerks if they go through with this.
