Favourite Shooter of 2008?

Someone always makes a Game of the year thread and I was going to but there was just too many great games last year and I wouldn't know what to have in the poll and what not to have so I've made this thread instead.

So what was your favourite shooter last year?

I'd say mine is Gears 2 because it had the best graphics and the cover system is so great that it should be in every shooter!.

And I voted L4D - I haven't played the game yet but I've worked on the servers and I like its popularity. even though it kills my internet sometimes and I plan on getting this game sometime this year, probably after my term ends in early May. not too long of a wait, hopefully price drops or has a special again

actually the only shooters this year i played were demos but i really enjoyed brothers in arms.

It was a difficult decision between Resistance 2 and Call of Duty: World at War, but I had to give props to Call of Duty: World at War. It would have to be the online multiplayer that got me to vote for Call of Duty: World at War. Resistance 2's online is unfair in the sense that newbies get jumbled in with expert players.
