France - 2008 console sales figures


Nintendo DS - 2.25 million
Wii - 1.6 million
PS3 - 708,000
Xbox 360 - 566,000

Software sales mentions…

Mario Kart Wii - 1.3 million
Wii Fit - 1 million
GTA IV PS3 392.000

PSP must be really bad to not even be mentioned, and PS3 must of really been killing the 360 pre 2nd price drop to still not over take it as IIRC a article 1 month said 360 was briskly outselling it in Europe

I'm surprised the DS is over the wii, it's old compared to the consoles up there.

Yeah you'd think DS would have pretty much reached market saturation by now giving way for Wii to take top spot.

Japan really proves that, DS is like 24 million or so and still being #1 most of the weeks, then again Japan really has put home consoles aside and went mostly handheld

yeah...and nintendo is the master of handheld consoles - my old gameboys were my best getaways from school during lunch and stuff back in elementary lol - if I still had that mind that needed to get away, I probably would have gotten the DS when it came out lol - but I grew into my PS1 back then

Nintendo has done a great job over the years keeping its fan base, thats one of the main reason for its huge popularity all over the world..especially in Japan

Pokemon Blue ftw! lol, loved that game
