So, I just heard that my whole school is having an assembly tuesday to watch the inauguration of Obama. Is anyone else doing this in their school? We've never done this before and it feels.. weird?
I mean, I know it's historical that he's the first black president.. but cutting school to watch the inauguration? I don't know.

lol classes start the day after inauguration for me...I actually thought that was this week but I was wrong and I was happy!
Did you see Bush's last press conference? Screwed up big time, tried to act and prove that he didn't care what everybody else thinks of him. Admitted to a lot of mistakes. Wonder if the bush lovers (not in that way) that watched the conference still like him
Hopefully Obama does a better job.
Def not. Like our skool would do that. Bet the gov teacher will be watching it tho, who knows. He likes his news

Was it really that bad?

GOD is she a horrible speaker, haha.

Does anyone know what time it starts?

I wonder how it'll work, because we get back from lunch at like 11:55.
5 minutes isn't nearly enough time to get 500 students into an auditorium, lol.

I can't wait for the inauguration! I would love to get out of class to watch it (I never learn anything new anyways), but my school will probably never do that. Stupid republican county... they're all sore losers. (no offense to anybody, that's just how they are around here)

Nothing special about it, new president. Yey.

They've really only had the chance to become president in the past 5 or 10 years.
Same with women.
So sure, they could run, but it's not like they would have had the capacity to get the democratic or republican nomination.
It really is crazy.
Watching it today was pretty cool. He's such an elegant speaker :]

the difference now is that an african american man HAS become president. That's the history part about it.
Stop being so anti-democratic lol - share the joy, smile a little, you'll feel better
