I was bored and decided to see how many words I could type a minute. I got 79 words in a minute.

i think it has to do with the random wording...I'm better off when sentences make more sense

its faster than a lot of people I know :D so yeah. thats still very good compared to the speeds most of the word types

my high school had us test on this program...uh..something like McAfee but it was another Mc or something, forgot name

it had like long papers that you can type up and then on the side it shows your speed - in the 9th grade I used to do around 60-70wpm average - the goal of that computer class was to reach 40wpm....I aced it on the first day of class :D lol

And I'm definitely faster now, and evne though the program has the most common words in the dictionary, I still mess up at times because my mind isn't making out the syntax of the sentences and I screw up at one place or I hesitate which slows me down

im guessing around a 150 wpm lol...my 104 is around 15,000, don't know many people who can type too much faster on a qwerty keyboard. unless they use the phonetic keyboard that uses sounds of words to spell - thats how court reporters can type 300-500 words per minute

Gettin there. I stumbled once again in the middle. I can do a lot faster cuz as i'm typing I slow down sometimes but then i realize it and start typing twice as fast.

I use 4 fingers (both index and middle) for pretty much everything: My index fingers cover most of the bottom row, I tend to use my ring finger for O, W, A, and S and my middle fingers generally handle everything else.. (I observed my hands and I typed a bunch of random sentences to come too this conclusion)

using proper form and not looking at the keys I got 22 wpm...

Sounds like a pretty interesting way to type, but yeah ever since middle school I've been taught to type a certain way and it's been working out good.

Yeah I do. It's fun knowing I can type 2 words a second.

I work with computers all day so I type a lot, I feel that it helped me increase my speed over the past few months. As far as I know, I'm the fastest at my office.

But I haven't gotten to try this since I posted last, it's hard finding a few minutes to do random stuff like that.
