Looks good, although I think this thread would be best suited in the Graphics forum

like the sig for the most part except the game character seems out of place imo

thread moved to graphics section.

And I agree with jak, the render is out of place - it's not blended in and some parts of your background is really bright, I already have a little headache from a lot of gun fire in game lol, so yeah, bright yellow doesn't help.

you did a good job blending the text, just have to work on the render.

keep it up

Okay, thank you for the constructive criticism guys! I'll work on it and see what I can do to both blend the render better, and put less strain on the eyes with bright colors.

Okay, this is my newer version. Brighter, but I think I did the render better this time. Please give some positive feedback, so I can improve on the design.

I hate to break it to you, but the scheme of color you've chosen and the over exposure has left you with quiet a stirred mess of confusion.

For one, the font is alright - but barely readable.

Secondly, the little figure render you were using suddenly turned phantom in the background. For note, Phantom = Bad thing. ;/
You want him seen, but you don't want him to sorely stand out. He needed to blend into the art - yes, but not ... quite so literally. D;

Again, I don't think anyone would recognize the left side of the piece as being a circular spartan shield...if that's even what you put there. D; ?

And lastly, what exactly is the background supposed to be doing for the piece? Does it represent the phrase, "Then we will fight in the shade?" - an excerpt taken from 300. Or, does it represent the phantom render on the right...

Sadly, I say neither. You have skill, but your direction seems misguided.

have to agree with exodyus - although you did blend, you just blended the render in a bit too much, I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't read exodyus' post

keep practicing, you'll get better soon enough :)

Thank you for the advice. I will keep trying until I can get it right!
Mostly, I have the whole weekend to practice, so I should be able to make some progress =D!

A different style completely with this one. Also ALOT simpler, so I don't have to worry about over-complexity messing things up for me. Please tell me what you think...

And, I dont know if it's any good, but I have a really old signature pic that I haven't used yet...

the purple one is simple, - just the yellow doesn't fit, you could have made the shield yellow with the selective color link or something. But the background is still blank so it looks more like a web button than signature

and the second one looks like you were just bored so you just threw your paintbrush at it lol

Not at all, my friend. Lol.

Remember this, if you learn anything at all from me...

The idea of art is not to impress others viewing on - but to put your emotional impression into your work, so that others can feel and/or understand what you're trying to get at.

Imagine that your art - your signature is a story.
... No offense, but right now you're writing childrens books with pop-up pictures.

Eventually, you will be good enough that you're writing college text books and/or a successful series about a nerdy, lame wizard who becomes the foretold, 'legendary' one... ohwait...

Point is - you're learning. That's what counts for right now and soon enough, you'll be good enough to close your eyes, imagine, and pound something spectacular out without trying. <3
I'm not even to that point yet... Lol. I only know of a handful who can do that.

Also, I'm gonna keep trying to get a REALLY good one either until I get it right, or I get banned for being annoying! XD

I've been writing since I was eleven. Cranking out text is nothing short of simplistic for me, seeing as my digits hit the keys at about eighty words a minute, lol.

A lot is two words, by the way - not one.

Okay, my newest signature pic is the one which I have decided to apply to my account. So, have at at! (cunstructively of course)

As you stated. It's simple. The gold text at the top of the first one is kinda hard to read. If i didn't know your name i'd have no idea what it says. The background is quite plain but again as you stated it's simple. Your color scheme doesn't go that great either.

As for the second one i agree completely with Linux. It looks like you got pissed and scribbled in paint then put it in photoshop and put in some light flares haha.

And your VERY first one, the spiderman one. It good but the background and render are really close color-wise and the render isn't blended in some spots. and also, it's friggin HUGE! haha
