Case of PS3 v. Xbox

Do you agree with the recent monumental Supreme Court case of PS3 v. Xbox in which the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the PS3. Quoting Chief Justice Roberts, "I firmly believe that the PS3 is a better console than the latter. Although I may already have a PS3, I ensure you that my bias did not affect my judgement."

I have heard many times that the online play for the Xbox is better than that for the PS3. I see no difference in the two's online play. To me, the fact that you mentioned that I would have to agree with is the affordable price. Everything else applies to the PS3, maybe not the date because I do not recall the dates that either console came out to the public.

I coulda sworn that the ps3 didn't offer backwards compatibility anymore.
And by customization, i meant face plates, and different colors of consoles and such.
But, admitted, that reason is kinda weak.
And in the online play for the 360, you can like have party's and such, chat with people who're playing the game your playing, and talk to people playing completely different games, the achievement system, and all that.

I keep forgetting that PS3 is cutting back on backwards compatibility. See, my PS3 has backwards compatibility. The PS3 Network has been updating allowing its players to achieve medals just like Xbox Online. Also, the PS3 Online has introduced Playstation Home, which will soon revolutionize gaming. It basically is Second Life for the PS3 but without the lagging and with much better graphics.

GTA IV, COD Series, Resistance 1 and 2, Warhawk, Motorstorm, Little Big Planet. Just a few games the PS3 has out on the market that are great games, some of which are out solely for the PS3. I do not see what makes the PS3 weak when it comes to great games. If you are going to say Halo, realize that game is overrated. All it is is a FPS with a poor singleplayer and an unimpressive multiplayer.

But, would anyone buy a PS3 just for Little Big Planet? Nope. I did love Resistance one. Such a beautiful game. Haven't even seen the gameplay for 2.
Maybe I'll get Drew[my bf] to buy that.
Awesome shooter. And amazingly fun to watch.
I bought him the PS3 for Christmas along with Dead Space, and we only have three games. That, FEAR, and Fallout 3. And he doesn't play either.

There's too much tension in this thread. Lol. I feel the text strain and tug threateningly at one another's text like a monstrous hulk about to be unleashed. I love it!

Personally, this is a sad and hard decision for me.
I'm the kind of person that makes up his mind pretty quickly based on fact and then it takes a long time for that to change back around because I don't accept different mindsets.

I've been a Sony boy since the original PlayStation.
I also believe in fair market and fair share - working for what you get.
IE - I don't support the first XBox because it bought into the market. Not earned.
IE - I don't support Nike because they didn't make their own way, Jordan pulled them to the forefront with his phenomenal talents.
And I've always been used to Final Fantasy being released with Square Enix's stuff on the PS, however now that everything is changing...
Now that Xbox has the better games, the better titled companies, and the second has made it's way to launch and successfully rocked the system...

I'm afraid, following my game titles - I will be forced to fall toward the 360. Playstation's playability has greatly faltered because of the games that will not come to title on the system...

They don't own their servers.
Microsoft has their own servers. If online is down, they can fix it themselves ASAP.
If PS3 network goes down, they have to wait until the company they use (Dunno the name) fixes it. Could be a while.

The PS3 network isn't as fast, and it nothing compared to the 360's online capabilities.

I own pretty much every console and I find enjoyment in all of them. Sometimes, things are stale and nogood games come out for one console while a load of good games come out for another.

-Xbox Live is far better(I've played both)
-Halo 1 & 2 (3 is just bad)
-Cheaper
-Controls on controllers are easier to use
-Faceplates
-Shading on graphics are better(other than that both are pretty much the same)

see, this is where i disagree lol. I don't think online play is worth paying for, I don't like the Halo series, I really don't like gears of war, and I think the controller is awful. And faceplates are just superficial, you just wanted something else to add to your list lol

Well, I have always been a Sony supporter. They tend to use cutting edge technology and it certainy costs extra!

However, due to the costs it has been difficult getting the system off the ground. It is pretty much relying on exclusive big name francises at the moment, even though X-Box and Wii have saturated the market now.

Many people still do not own a PS3, so I wonder how long the prices will remain so high or if there will be some massive cuts to promote the system.
