Didn't care for the first style very much - though it was alright, not very recommendable by me.

Hnm - depends. If you have another FPS for the PC, I wouldn't bother with it. If you like blowing money to put games on your shelf, then knock yourself out.

I wouldn't say it's NOT worth a one-time play through, but I don't really care for the storyline and the replay - or playability, rather - just isn't there. I played about an hour or two of it at a friends place while he walked me through the storyline and basics.

I've played Crysis, CounterStrike: Source, GoldenEye: Source, Half-Life, UnReal, Quake - if you've played any of these, imagine an ~alright~ storyline equipped and you have FEAR. Lol...

And for the record, I didn't like Crysis either. Bad ass concept, poorly configured, coded, and designed. My PC runs it flawlessly, but the game didn't run itself well at all. Glitchy and bleh... I grew bored quickly after the shock-n-awe wore off from the graphics and special effects.

I played it and beat it. tried the multiplayer.
The game is fun but nothing special and I never even thought of playing it again.

If anyone has played F.E.A.R then you'd imagine that this would be a decent horror/shooter. But when I played #2, the shooting part was alright but I didn't even flinch at any of the so called "scary" stuff. Because what I ushually play F.E.A.R for is to get the living crap scared out of me. I was disapointed.

F.E.A.R 2 Project Origin is one of the best games that I played and I am still playing it. The school in the game gives me a shock as now and then especially when the lights are off and when they flick on and off you see ALMA by you.
