Fable 3 inadvertently confirmed

Celebrity talker Jonathan Ross seems to have inadvertently confirmed the development of Fable III on his Twitter, claiming he's been offered a voice-over role.

"Tweeting" after last night's BAFTA shindig, the British TV and radio star wished his gossip-hungry fans goodnight with this message: "Goodnight all. Must go to bed. Got asked to do voice in Fable 3 tonight. Subarashi. Oyasuminasia. Woss out."



I guess this will make Fable fans and console warriors happy

I didn't like Fable 2 that much, I got bored after a few hours of game play. I doubt that I'll pick up Fable 3, not my type of RPG I guess.

i loved fable one with the expansion... fable two kinda too clone-ish besides the graphics... i hope fable 3 will be like they originally promised... fully open-ended gameplay and customization... sigh... the original fable previews were the best *tear* oh, fable... you could have been so much better

I searched Gamespot and Fable 2 was only there for Xbox 360.

I never played the Fable games so this doesn't excite or upset me in the least bit either way haha.

All i remember is when i was a member of RPGdot. This ANNOYING ad for fable would pop up and take up the ENTIRE page and it was really annoying. It seemed like it would come up every 2 seconds!

Fable 2 was okay. The "Final Boss" was just dissapointing. Really linear story, but beautiful. I loved every second of it.

Your point? Companies got this planned out well in advance, it's just usually we don't hear of the news till way later on when they have teaser pics or teaser vids ready . And think of this Microsoft first party is rather weak compared to Sony/Nintendo, Fable is a flagship title, do you really think they'd only make 2? hell nah they are going to milk that thing so hard.

as jak said, some games have sequels planned before the original hits the market - same goes for movies

Well ya, of course they are going to continue making the series. I'm just saying that how could they confirm a game that might not come out for another 2 or 3 years. They would have to worry about budgeting and all the other stuff. Maybe they can mention the possibility, but not completely confirm it.

No. This is Lionhead we're talking about. Saying Microsoft made Fable is like saying Nexon made Mabinogi.

Lionhead developed Fable, and thus they are the ones milking the hell out of it.

It's very interesting thought but yeah the story mode was quite fast in Fable 2 but it was fun but I prefer to play the first Fable - The Lost Chapters.

I was always planning on getting Fable 2, but never got around to it. Also, I got caught up in Fallout 3.
I think they came out around the same time. Or I was just really behind on the new games that were coming out.

well it'll probably be released next fall, which would be a 2 year gap which really isn't small for big game releases.

Sounds good, lets see what lion head creates now after creating MILO. It will be nice to see what they can do with Fable though, its a nice idea.

Since they didnt release Fable 2 on pc, i dont know about this one.
But i still love Fable, ill pick it up if its on pc or if i get an xbox.
