Some of you have already experienced the occasional database errors due to too many connections at one time. That's proof that the server is truly growing and we need a better server with more control.

This thread will have updated posts with the whole thing. I planned to move the forum a few days ago but unforseen circumstances pulled me away. The new date set is next friday, it isn't confirmed yet but I will keep you posted.

If it doesn't occur next friday then it will occur during the Easter Break, which is really not a great idea since a lot more people will be home. I will do my best to move the server on time and with as little downtime as possible.

Thank you for your support and whatnot...

yeah we've been here for a long time, about a year and a half if I'm not mistaken, great server here but we are outgrowing it.

I'm sure you've all experienced the downtime the past day or so. The current datacenter is just screwing with my head. The forum should be moved out by Saturday morning if everything goes according to plan

Sorry about all the downtime here, only one was scheduled and it was fixed last night at around 2 AM EST, everything after that is the dc's fault.

files are being exported to the newer server as we speak :) Database export will take a little longer

I'd advise everyone not to upload any attachments to the forum, the GF Image Host has been temporary disabled so that files are not compromised with. You may still play in the arcade, post, make threads, and as long as you don't upload anything to the server, you will be fine. Otherwise the uploaded files will not be carried over to the other server, I am only moving physical files once.
