The FBI Arrested 40 year-old Robert Lavern Davison and brought him to Utah to go before a judge this week. Police say he used the internet to lure a 13 year-old girl from Centerville, Utah to California. Centerville Police Sgt. Von Steenblik said officers got to the Greyhound Bus terminal in Salt Lake "about an hour" before the girl was to board the bus to meet Davison.

Steenblik said the suspect and victim met on the internet last year, while playing the game "World of Warcraft." They chatted via the game, then they began e-mailing, then talking on the phone. In November, the victim's mother called police and reported her daughter had not made it to school. With the help of officers from the state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the girl's computer and cell phone were searched. That's when they learned she'd been chatting with Davison for months.

"On a hunch," said Steenblik, officers headed for the Intermodal Hub in Salt Lake. There they found the girl waiting for the bus to California. When officers explained who she was really going to meet, they say she was shocked. "She thought she was going to someone wonderful, who was going to take care of her," said Steenblik.

Officers then posed as the 13 year old girl and continued to chat with Davison online. Steenblik says his chats became more sexual in nature, "The things he wanted to do to her were graphic and violent." The FBI arrested Davison at his house in Kelseyville, California. He appeared before a judge Wednesday and remained locked up with no bail.

Timothy Furhman, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Salt Lake, said officers often pose as young girls, to lure predators to justice. But this case is significant because "There was actually a live victim, not an undercover victim."

Young.
Dumb.
Full of ... energy.
Wanting to feel more loved.

Welcome to the new America.
I mean ... we have an "Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force" (ICACTF)...

It's probably this reason they wont let me be president. I'd throw him on an empty island alone and see if his WOW character sheet would save his worthless ass.

thats where you can be someone you aren't in real life - not sure if anyone acts like themselves on the internet as they do in real life - i know someone who "lols" a whole lot on aim but doesn't do more than a smile in real life...

I think I "lol" more in real life than on the internet. I haven't really found anything funny enough to actually make me laugh but when I know something is funny I just say lol over and over again. I'm weird...:twitcy:

it's probably been going downhill for quite some time now...don't think you can have that much surface area on a body in just a few years.

True... but at the same time im sure alot of that mass is because of WoW. Or he prolly even played other MMOs before he started playing WoW (Everquest???)

Ew. I bet he keeps food in his man hole. It's an extra, festering pocket for his snax.

There are also stories where people have met new loves on WoW and then got disappeared. I'll dig out that gem and post it when I have the time to look for it.

Ugh, ewww, bleck, gross. Ummmmmm, I don't really know what to say. What if he sued Blizzard for being to addicting and ruining his life. I bet it's happened before. It'd be funny though.

Meeting people via WoW is not inherently evil. It is really no worse than any other activity in which you meet people--because you can be a horrid stalker freak no matter where you are or what you do.

Case in point: the vast majority of children know their molesters intimately--Chester Molester is usually a friend of the family or is a relative. Most women who die violently are killed by someone they know, usually a partner. Most abducted children are the victims of custodial interference.

Oh man... i forgot about that. I did remember the times we were grinding for.... some kind of relic up by Black Temple and you had gone AFK for something... (prolly your damn cat) and when you came back there was no less than 5 or 6 baddies running around on fire and at least twice that already dead at my feet ready to have there phat lewts stolen... I remember your voice going all high pitched on vent "WTF HAVE YOU DONE?!.... LOL! YOU'RE BURNING ALL THE WHITE MEN!" Oh i had a grand ole chuckle.

And as for as myself and ashley go... you need a massive update but that will have to wait till a later date and I am asking you as a friend to PLEASE not say anything. don't even mention i said there was nothing to mention.

I thought you needed Scryer rep or you wanted money so you were grinding for tomes or something to turn in or AH. I think you had exalted, so I think we were just after some quick scratch.

Lol we were right in front of BT! I remember coming back from afk and watching you for a minute, because I had my face in a corner and the camera was looking behind me. It was awesome: a stripe of fire would run across the ground, and then this dude would come running past; a few seconds later he'd be running past in the opposite direction screaming with his hair in flames, and then you'd come running past, chasing his punk ass down, shooting more fire at him. Sooooooo funny.

And ya! you didn't even leave me any. Not even one!

Maaaaaaan, I should have rolled a warlock. I loved my rogue, but warlocks always looked like more fun.

And quiet is kept, my dear. As if you had to ask. <3
