That graphics card you posted is pretty low end. GeForce FX Go5200 is like a few steps up from the worst you can buy... and it looks like it's only pushing 128 mb? Or is it serious when it says 64 display mb?

The system is only decent because it's a 2.8 ghz processor. Everything else is low end also.
726 mb is probably a little partitioned but used to be a 512 and a 256, probably. Or it's a weird, unique stick with it built in - but I've only seen that processor style on certain graphics cards.

1000 gb = 1 terabyte. -_-;

All run fine, but are they a little laggy, randomly slow?
If you play an MMO with what you have now, chances are you'll find a lot of in-city lag.

You can't play games that push Crysis-graphics because you'll crash your GPU drivers and you'll have to restart before it Blue-Screen-Of-Death's you...

well. it 768, didn't think of the math, its true, 64 mb dedicated space for the video... and no. 100 gb is not 1 terabyte. one terabyte is 1000 or 1025 gb. And really, no, FFXI works perfectly on this laptop, and so far my GPU/driver have not crashed. Give me a recent free MMO, ill put on here and see what it does. Plus. most of the low end games like guild wars and so on, are ment to run on 32 mb. I can run that hands down as well. *shrugs* maybe it does have 128 and its just saying 64?

Yes but after a point it will get slow.
I truly don't underestimate a computer no matter what it is. I have a computer that is crazy old and it can is fast as crazy.
Also how many things do you have on the computer? programs etc how much space is taken

That's very true. A lot of "gamers" think that if you don't have a duo pzr and 2 gigs of ram and 512 gcard then you comp is a fail. Actually most games you can run with a 128 bit g card, 512 ram and a 2.0 processor. I probably wouldn't recommend any of the newer FPS games, because they are not fun to play with lag. Though, you could probably run almost every game with all your settings on low.

But as far as laptops go, they are not that great to game on. Normally when you play MMO's you play for long periods of times and laptops over heat a lot easier than desktops. When you play, make sure it's not sitting on your lap. A flat hard surface is the best so it cam vent properly. If you do sit on your lap, just lay a large book on it first. I Spy books work really well for that purpose =p.

- What fail is.
- What a failURE is.

English obviously isn't a second language, where as a sticky, crappy, work keyboard can be the cause of a missing zero.
You know work right? That thing you're not legally able to do - because of age or ignorance?

Essentially, your computer might be fast now - but packing it full of stuff wont make it much slower, necessarily - but you wont be able to run some of the best games with the hardware you have installed.

Jacob isn't right in terms of packing your system full of games and whatever. You can fill a hard drive to the brim and it wont slow the machine down as long as each game isn't allocated to the Start Up under MSConfig and/or set to download patches or whatever upon Start up.

When your computer starts to slow down, it's probably sites and extraneous attachments that are linking up. Delete cookies and Temp files often, as well as getting something like Window Washer will multi-clean your files and harvest the excess for waste.

All in all, you'll be able to play some decent games on low res or settings, but I wouldn't bank on this being the greatest gaming experience you'll ever have. Lol.

Good luck with it, man.

how old is that laptop? I think my old 5 year old pc (now my sister's) had a geforce 5200 (but I think its 5600, not a 100% sure) - and it lags the crap out when someone throws a smoke grenade in CS - it's not that you can't play games, you just can't play them to the fullest.

For example, L4D and CoD4 and CoD:WaW will never run on that just because of the GPU.

and use this site to see if you can run the games you want: Can You RUN It? (http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest)

on a last note, laptop is a bad idea for games - I've burned 2 laptops in the past 6 or 7 years playing games lol. It was supposed to be convenient but laptops burn out quickly especially when graphics and memory consuming games come into play. They get hot really quickly, the parts just burn up.

Well... with my experience. and really i wont be major gaming on my laptop. I have a desktop :P I just wanted some games for when im away from home. My laptop was made back in 2002? Im not really sure its something i got from someone. Here is my desktop specs, let me know what you think of this computer and tell me what games i can run, and Linux? do you actually run linux? if so, small world :P I want linux to be more out there, it can be a powerful gaming platform if people knew more about it. With it, you can basically take away most to all of the process and the game would be able to use your full system.
