I'll say they'll at least get their money back, why? Because they have a crap load of fans that'll still pay to see the movie even if it sux. They are hoping to bring in the fans to get their money back along with some profit..

But they messed up with a 100mil budget..too high imo.

I do hope for them, but casting some douche bag who looks nothing like Gokuu and then screwing up the plot royally to accommodate American "want" - just ridiculous.

When this movie was first announced, before I had even seen the trailer, I was honestly excited to see it....
That was until the trailer flooded youtube! I was sorely disappointed.
EPIC FAIL in my eyes!

A little help to anyone predicting it's reported to be in 2100+ in it's opening weekend and will be up against hannah montana/observe and report + monster vs. aliens 3rd weekend/fast and furious 2nd weekend. It's 2nd weekend Crank 2 and State of Play both will be wide releases. My prediction is that it'll make somewhere between 50 and 100 million domestic, May release schedule will kill any legs in might of had so it better make big early, in succession Wolverine/Star Trek/Angels and Demons all 3 movie will eat up screens

Monday sales=$521,935 bring domestic totals to $5,278,423, theater average was $239 which= lots of open seats. OT: FF dropped to #3 on monday pulling in 2.6 behind Monster n Aliens 3.3 and Hannah Montana's 4.6...am p'd off about. Wanted to see FF do really well but it seems it has short legs

Domestic Sales are at 8,791,986 and is making less than 50 bucks a theater on average, it's at 500 still. i wonder what the domestic expectations were

Such a shame too... I had high hopes... The writer was a nobody though.

It was funny, I went to see the movie with two friends of mine. Who watched the series not quite as much as I did, but enough to understand the plot and know the characters and the enemies.

So we were there all taking up a row when this black guy comes in. He was pretty heavy set too. So I turn after he made a comment about how, "you guy's will like the movie."

I turn and ask him, "So did you ever watch the show?"

He turned back to me and said, "Kinda, but you guys will like the movie. This is the second time I've come to watch it."

And at the end, I just wanted to run up to him beat the **** out of him and say, "Hey ****er, I didn't like the movie. And never support **** like this by going to see it twice!"
