Will Wright, who helped design and create popular computer games like SimCity, the Sims 2, right, and, more recently, Spore, is leaving the video game maker Electronic Arts after 12 years with the company. They will continue to have a relationship, though, as EA has taken an equity stake in Mr. Wright’s new venture, the Stupid Fun Club, and will have the right to make video games based on that company’s projects. Mr. Wright said in a news release that he was leaving EA to explore “new possibilities that are emerging from this sublime chaos and create new forms of entertainment on a variety of platforms.” EA has been struggling to develop new hits to bolster its lineup of reliable sequels to games like the John Madden football series. The company said in late September that it had sold to retailers roughly two million copies of Spore, an ambitious evolution-themed PC game, but it is not clear if Spore was a hit or a profitable game.

his mind is great, can't wait to see what he comes up with next. Perhaps something PS3 related :crossesfingers:

That sucks. Didn't Ben Bell take over for Sims 3?
