How do you turn that crap off so it stops PMing me about a new post that needs my moderation on my profile?

you can't turn that off - and you only get that if a member posted before he/she has 10 posts with a 24 hr registration period.

however you can make it so that only your contacts and mods can post on your profile: Gamers Forum (http://www.gamers-forum.com/profile.php?do=editoptions)

that link allows you to edit visitor message options, just click the one that says "Limit usage of Visitor Messages to Contacts and Moderators" -

but you'll still get the email if the person is new.

Moderation was enabled because we've had idiots in the past that came on and spammed the crap out of people's profiles.

otherwise make friends with people that aren't restricted
