So here's what happened...

I ran into some old friends who I used to play the DBZ CCG with. We decided to get together for old times sake and play some cards. When they first walked into my place they marvelled at my games collection. They looked at old stuff which they hadn't seen in years. Then we headed to my friend's place to play some cards. I took Left 4 Dead over to his place to play it, since it makes a good party game. When I got home I noticed that Left 4 Dead was missing from my stuff. I thought it just fell out of my box of stuff, and I told my "friend" to look for it. The next day he said he found it. He also wanted to come over to play cards some more, but I had to work when he got in town. So I let him sleep at my place while I was at work. I was at work for two hours while he was hanging out at my place. When I got home he was still there. We played some more cards and he left at about 3am with his girlfriend. The next day I noticed that my N64 games didn't reach the top of my bookshelf like they normally do. So I talled up my games and found around 13 games missing from my collection. I was so pissed!

He took...

Pikmin 2
Spiderman2
Ninja Gaiden Black
Star Wars: KoToR
Zack and Wiki
Left 4 Dead (never gave it back)
TWEWY
Poke'Mon Leaf Green GBA remake
Shinobi 3 (case and all)
Ecco 2 (case and all)
Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Super Mario 64
Banjo Kazooie

I went to the cops and they said that they would try to call him and bring him in for questioning. I gave them his name and phone number, and told them that he was on parole for smoking weed.

Two days later the cops called me back and told me that they couldn't find the guy, and they were giving up. (****ing lazy asses!)

So anyway what do I do now? I've been going back and forth between just doing nothing or finding him and beating the living **** out of him. My other old friend who I was playing cards with knows where the theif lives and I bet I could find him pretty easily.

I say you should track him down, beat the living hell out of him, and take him to the cops. =P Or something like that.

why did you let him stay in your house while you were at work? I don't let any of my friends in my house when I won't be home. no matter how much I trust them or how long I've known them - not unless someone else is home with them of course (eg. parents) - you could have just given him a few bucks and sent him to the local arcade

LOL - that's why He's avoiding you.

by the way - did you go straight to the cops or did you try to find him first?

All in all, maybe full retail that stuff WAS $300, but now all of that is valued I would say $55. That sucks 'n all but there's no point in complaining to us. Besides never trust a toker

I just felt like talking about it with other people who care about games.

We must have different tastes in games lol. Six of the games he took were amoung my favorites and expensive as well. Hell my Castlevania was worth about seventy dollars.

Well I knew him for ages, and I didn't think he'd be enough of a dumbass/asshole to steal my **** from me. I didn't have any money to send him to the local arcade. I should have though.

Yeah I went straight to the cops. Trying to keep my cool, and be a good citizen instead of going and just beating the **** out of him. Lot of good that did me. The cops didn't even want to help. They just sighed and said "We'll file the report". I want to break the guy's arms and legs, and then laugh at the cops when they ask me why I did it. I've heard people say before that there's no justice for the common man anymore, and it's true. A local farmer just got off scott free for murder. His lawyer argued self defense. He was "defending himself" with a shotgun against an unarmed man that he hated. After "defending himself" with this shotgun he dragged the body behind his pickup truck for five miles through a gravel road and then dumped it in an old well.

Anyway from now on I'll be taking justice into my own hands. I'll set up a motion sensitive camera in my place, and get all my **** insured.

I go to a local chain called gamers. You can get thirty dollars in store credit for L4D alone. Plus they sell **** cheap.

Factory sealed games are around $100-$300 on amazon. Mine was pretty much perfect condition. It was open and I played it a few times but other than that the instructions and the case were damn near perfect.

I remember a time when gamecube game sales on ebay were skyrocketing, Pikman 2 used was getting 35-40 bucks, it really makes sense. only 21 million gamecube and Wii passed that so fast so many of the owners that didn't bother with the gamecube eating up gamecube game hand over foot and raising the market prices, that still occur haven't checked in so long
