Okay, i'm tired of people praising this game. It is extremely overrated. It's horrible, I don't see how you can like it. The only good thing in it is the Nazi Zombies mode and you have to beat the campaign to get it. What do you guys think about it?

WW2 shooters ftl at this point, sure WAW takes a different approach then the standard WW2 shooter but I'm still sick of them as a whole none the less

Ya, I was thinking ever since COD3 that they need to break away from WWII. And They did, but then look, another one!

Agreed. I want to see more games based off of other wars/situations. Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm, Iraq........1812?

I personally liked WAW. Probably only from Nazi Zombies. Hehe.

I think a Civil War/Revolutionary War would be epic, but lol, people say "OH THASH BORRRRIIIING"
But WWII isn't?
And besides, they did start using experimental Grenades and automatics near the end of the Civil war...
Along with Trench Warfare.

I'm a big fan of the Call Of Duty series. Sure, WWII is over used. The game would be basically the same no matter what time period. Sure, the guns/locations would have a different name, but all Call Of Duty weapons have a counter-part for each version. The maps are created with similar geometry and strategic points. Really, I see no difference between one war and another (as far as Call Of Duty goes).

Ya, a civil war/1812 war sounds pretty cool. Not sure how it would out though.

north beats south :-P

serious comment time, it would be quite, we could fight the major/minor battles or they could have a twist and have an alternate history and have the confederate beat the union

Or you could choose your side to choose who would win, or even choose a foreign country to add an even bigger twist.

add a foreign country would ruin the whole idea imo

sure the french helped out but the way it sounds your putting it gives them to much of a role and alters it too much for my liking

Ya I guess, I was just saying that to give it more of a variety.

I disagree. The game is not overrated. The praise that this game is getting is how much Call Of Duty: World At War should be getting. The game is fantastically done. The Online Play is enjoyable, and the vast number of guns to choose adds to the game, as well. I love the game so much that I have played through the campaign twice. I do not see why you believe this game is overrated. If you want to discuss an overrated game, mention Halo. I know people who buy an Xbox console simply so that they can play Halo. Come on, there is NOTHING special about that game that makes it any different from any other FPS. I played Halo and Halo 3, and it's like any other futuristic FPS.

Wow, Grandmoff.
Just wow.
Anyway, yea, adding foreign countries would ruin the idea, but being able to be the South and North and have an alternate ending would be epic.

Yeah, but hes Right Halo is a waste. complete ****. it all depends on your weapon mostly. if you a got shotty, sniper or rocket the other person is dead unless you just run around and not shoot....... first one to shot usually wins. And For CoD:WaW its a good/great game. but i dont play much any more bcx i like CoD:4 better and its more challenging too.

They have made to many WWII spin-offs. I mean it's the same thing every time. That is why Modern Warfare is so much better. If they would get off of WWII, it would be so much better. At least Halo has a good story line. I mean theses games are just based off of WWII.

I don't think call of duty is going to swap genre apart from the modern warfare titles and anymore like that. WW2 is what it was made from the begging and probally will be till the end. I mean you don't halo changing from futuristic sci-fi gameplay. The only thing they really need to do is change the game play so it doesnt seem too repetetive.

I think it would be good to include a german campaign so you can play through if the germans won the war =]

Well Halo was following a story that continued each game, it had a story. It wasn't repeating its self like the Call of Duties. Each of them are the same, all about WWII.

The COD series is one of my fav's. But I would like to see more games from the Iraq war, so that they would be more relevant for today

I always liked WWII games. I use to play the original CoD for pc all the time. It will probably always stay as my favorite shooter. I still play it from time to time online. I never really did get into CoD WaW thought. The game play seems really weird and it's based around gorilla war far. Which I don't find that interesting in games. I don't have the patients to wait on people. I think the WWII franchises have gone down hill that's for sure though.

World war 2 games can only go that far. I'm waiting for the second modern war fair game to be released. WaW is annoying online but i still play it... im quite sick of it i reached level 47 2nd prestige but i went back to COD 4 again XD

@Everyone: The COD series is definitely one of the best FPS series. The ability to set classes is freakin sweet ^_^

Lol @Trunks. You like WWII, but not guerrilla warfare, upon which the strategies of WWII revolved? Actually, most WWII shooter games are based upon stealth and foresight. Lol

@Red. I just got an XBox a couple of weeks ago, along with COD 5 and Halo 3. Since then I've been playing WaW almost everyday. Sp yea. Quite a bit ;) What system do you have it for?

Yea, kinda... but I don't have the patients to sit in wait. The older Call of Duty games seemed like it was way easier to this in, just from the map layouts and such. Might of been because I played the others more, not sure. I'm talking about online play btw.

Yea, so was I. The campaign is rather dull =P
I find that WaW takes just as much patients as any other COD game. True, it does take patients, but just as much as in any COD game. If you choose to camp, then it may be a while before you see anyone, although this too is true for all other FPS games. I do agree, however, that the maps are too cumbersome and large, making it harder to rack up kills XP

Got it for Wii. I have been playing too, my b/f got me into it. I am still no good at it, the other people cheat, Im still in bootcamp. its only for 1-8 I see people in there that are 50+ an really makes me mad! I am trying to learn how to play it an all that an here comes some hot shot killing me ever min. Gets under my skin.

Haha. I know how that feels. Although I think that the Wii is the worst console to play WaW on, I too have it O_o. (and for XBox) I'm fairly decent, although having to actually AIM with the WiiMote gets old reaall fast >_<

Sucks.
All COD game were meant to be based off of WW2.
And in WAW has P90? G36C? WTF!!!
Not really guns like the M1 Grand... which is supposed to be...
