Hmm.. Whenever I saw a retro games and so small characters, wtf is that. I know I played retro games before but now I think the characters is so small.

In all fairness, it's really because of a lack of funding. Spiderweb Software is run by *three* people, two of which handle the business part and only one of which actually does the actualy programming. This guy, Jeff Vogel, has a family to feed, and this is his only source of income for their family.
