Call of duty 4 lag?

Ok guys, from the past i was here, i did a major upgrade from my old 1.8 ghz pc to a Core 2 duo dual core 3.0 ghz. Anyway, i picked up call of duty and parts of like... air strikes, and so on like thos LAG for me for a second. Any reason why? heres my pc specs.

Intel core 2 Duo Dual core at 3.0 ghz
2 gig of ddr2 ram ( soon 4 if i can)
Dimond Radon 4850

So what can it be? i have the game at LOW settings, it works PERFECT in single player, but in multi? lag...

My net is fine so i dont know.

Maybe you should take a look at the app section , you can find the game booster i posted. It increased my fps. hope it works for ya!

Ok this did not help me at all dude... i still seem to lag on thos parts. Its ANOYING

Go to task manager. go to processes. end process on everything except taskmgr.exe and explorer.exe with your user name on it. then go play your game. That pretty gets rid of all your background programs you have running. now when you want to get them all running again, just restart your computer. That's what I do and it makes every game I play faster than if I didn't do that.
