I just got the chance to play some Prototype. it's amazing. very bloody.
and just all around fun, I love disguising as a military soldier and making the other soldiers kill other random soldiers by making them believe it's me, I get some kind of evil pleasure out of that.

It's out for the PC. I Rent most of my games Via Gamefly. I rarely buy anymore.

I don't like prototype. My impression of the game is that they only called it prototype in order to describe what it is. I mean graphically it's not this gen. Draw distance is terrible. Lack of landmarks. AI is truly terrible ( I can do some mental things right in front of the army and they don't even notice me). I have to say though I do like the story. But I don't feel anything for my character. I don't really see why I have to kill everyone in my path in order to find out why I have crazy powers. I just don't like it, sorry.

Well IMO i would give it perhaps a 6/10. I think if they had taken more time to make the game look prettier and tune up the gameplay then it would be higher, but there is just too much wrong with it.

I'd give it a 8/10 graphics are good enough. Gameplay is amazing IMO you can do very violent things to anyone, that never gets old and if it does take their guns and shoot anyone. then there's the full armor and sword you can run down streets plowing cars and ****. to me this game is not about the story it's about consuming an old lady and killing people while looking like an old lady.

But why not 10/10? because the graphics could be better and so could the story, as for Gameplay there's nothing to complain about.

I guess I'm one of those guys that needs a reason to do something. I mean it is cool that you can consume old women and glide about cannonballing people (if you can pull off that move) but I just think that you never really connect to the Alex Mercer. I can guarantee that the gameplay will get old. Maybe not as fast as other games but it will. It's practically the same as spiderman 2 but with gore and some blades that replace your arms.

Sounds like a bunch of crack heads made this game o.o I Was never really that interested in the game. I probably won't play it unless a friend buys it.

Apparently (on the tv advert) it got a 9/10 or is that complete and utter bullsh*t?

Infamous>Prototype

Infamous actually has an engaging story that keeps you entertained for 15-20+ hours......

prototype is a mess of archetypes of other games fused into one bad rip-off with no real coherent storyline......

That's my professional and personal opinion.

Infamous does have a better Story, no doubt. though the gameplay/battle system is not very deep, they could have done SO much more then what they did to make the Gameplay more interesting and have longer appeal. all they needed was some creativeness all they did was Remake weapons as lightning attacks. Don't get me wrong, I loved the game I beat it twice. but the fighting in Prototype wins.

Are these games just getting compared because they both came out at the same kind of time or because they are so similar?

I know that infamous is about a guy who can control electricity or something and his choices are very black and white and make a difference to the storyline. But is it really just being compared because you have powers in both of them?

That game is pretty good. Solid graphics, decent story. I'd be surprised if it doesn't hit the $100 grand mark soon.

Prototype is supposed to be set in New York although i can understand why you said modeled. There is like only the basic shape and the Empire State Building and thats about all the landmarks.

So within this week I get my new PC !! I plan to get Prototype for PC but will feel kinda weird playing an action based game in a PC. Well I'll probably will have to get use to it. But from what I seen the game looks amazing, even though the senseless killing kinda cuts me off a bit, but the killing is all with a purpose. Trying to find out who or what you are !

Protoype is a good game if you dont overplay it.i overplayed it and beat it the day i got it.so it is to me 5 stars out of 5:radar:

This game is really great I love running to the people and then grabbing them and run with them around and launch then into a vehicle and there are many things to do in this game you just have an open mind how to kill the people whether they are innocent or not which is really fun. The games graphics is also really awesome and it has a lovely game play.
