Well tbh her decision would have ruined it in the first place, but this girl wanted 3 stars, then fell asleep while he was tatting and the tattoo artist decided to give 53 more :laugh:

When I went to Dollywood, I saw a 18-20 yr old with a full-back tattoo of Angel wings.
Why would you get that?
It's idiotic, weird, and wouldn't you know you won't want that in 10 years anyway?

And the meaning part, I guess I get. My mom has one showing her as the mom protecting her 3 kids.

Like me, I think a woman 'protecting' three kids in a tat is stupid, especially on your body. What if one dies? What if you have another? Adopt one more?

It's all based on personal preference, and what you think is dumb, might have a really valuable meaning to the that person or others.
And again, it's your opinion that they wouldn't want it in 10 years, but quiet honestly, the majority of tattoos are well thought up or they've taken time to come up with a grandiose meaning about it.

Now, I know some dumb frakkin' people who have gotten random bows tatted on them while drunk, or have spider webs on their chest with skull spiders on that. -- I've seen some RIDICULOUS tats that have NO purpose or meaning at all, even to the person who got them...

Angel wings are usually a sign of guardianship or protection. Something miraculous happened to them, or they feel blessed in some way, angelic -- even.
Just as a mother protecting her children, some believe that God would protect them. Same concept, different art.

So don't go bagging on ideas, just because you can't comprehend it's reasoning or haven't looked beyond your own self-centered opinion.

Also, most 'respectable' ink slingers wont ever tat on someone who's drunk, or used something to numb the pain.
And those of you who don't think it's possible to sleep during a tat, it totally is. The feeling of the gun isn't pain at all, unless they're inking a hot spot on the body. Hot spots are nerve bundled areas - chest, inner arms, sides, feet. Anywhere you can lightly pinch and it hurts more than not, will hurt getting tats on.
