Purchased and downloaded Killing Floor last night. The recommended requirements were met as I have a Pentium 4 HT 2.80 with a gig of RAM and a decent Radeon x1050 video card but the game played very poorly on my computer. The graphics frustratingly flowed terribly as the gamed overpowered my computer and left me little control of the action. Bahhhhhhhh!

$ 19.00 down the tubes.

Looked very cool during the parts where it did flow. :twitcy: Oh well.

I'm assuming you lowered the Settings?
My friend I play the game with has a computer with about the same specs.
He seems to be able to play it just fine.

graphics lag sux, i hate it - death toll in L4D gives me that issue for some reason

and if you haven't lowered the settings then you should try it, helps a great deal - helped me play some good games on my old crappy pc.

I don't lag at all when I play L4D, however my PC isn't old or crappy. Lol.

Phenom Core
4 GB Ram
512 HD GFX Card. ;)

When are you gunna play L4D with me, man?

And I'd say, Amber -- if you spent 19 bucks on the game, I wouldn't worry much about it. But if your GFX card is too slow, you should have read the requirements right on the box. Lol.

Yarr, you're right. LOL

btw - even dialin' down the settings didn't help the frustration. Darn it!

I've seen people play great games without meeting the minimum requirements and I've seen people not being able to play any games even though they have awesome hardware - can't really explain that there unless it's a software issue.

have you tried the game in any other pc? it could even be network lag...any way to check your ping?

I don't usually lag with any game - I have a decent GPU so it's fine. but the graphics lag in death toll is weird - it's not the entire map, just some parts, and it's usually random - my FPS drops to single digits and time slows down...and i want a phenom cpu...I have an old athlon dual core processor - works nicely

and we can play any time you are ready - I usually get a chance to play at night

No, I only have the one.

Meh, I'm not gonna worry about it anymore. I can play UT2004 & Halo online without any problems and now I also have CounterStrike Source so Im glad I hooked up with Steam.
Those games will suffice for now as online gaming is still all very brand new to me.

Thanks for your input gang.
