Do a barrel roll.

Actually, it should be programmable in Preferences somewhere, if not, try Control Panel and it should be in there somewhere.
If not, dunno. I don't have a Gaming Laptop, so I can't help you.
Try Control Panel, that's your best bet.

not sure if it's something "programmed" into it - it could be just that the connections are messed up and the mobo can only send/receive info from one at a time (keyboard or touchpad) - I had a similar problem with my leno laptop last summer - I took the whole thing apart trying to figure out why my touch pad would suddenly stop working when I was typing and eventually it would freeze the whole computer

then I replaced the part with the touch pad and it went back to normal. But anyway, mine was a lenovo and you have an acer so the problems could be very different. Try doing what samus said and then check the control panel's touchpad/mouse settings - it could have something there (different laptops have different settings, I have 5-6 laptops at home and they all have different options since they are different makes)

well ive tried the control panel allready and it seems (not completly sure) to that it cant be changed, but i dont think its a malfunktion coz i see alot of ppl whom makes HowTo's for disableing a touchpad as they write
