my little sis wants a kitten but a cat in a NYC apartment isn't the best and having small birds in the house makes it worse.

If my sis knew you she'd probably be begging for a kitten - that's why you'll never meet her :)

I think I've found a home for one... and we might be able to keep one. We already have a lot of cats. So if everything works out, we still have to find homes for at least 6 more. It's surprising how many people hate cats.
