Longest time you've been stuck on a game

At somepoint or other you're undoubtedly going to get stuck on a game - but what's the record?
I've been stuck on the budha level on Red Ninja for over a year now. like a year and 4 months i'm guessing. I kept trying that level for about a month before giving up and trying 4 times since.

What's the longest you've been screwed for in a game and what's the name of the game? I wanna see if anyones as hopeless as me.

SOCOM II but that was years ago - and I was stuck on the 5th or 6th map for few month or two - but I never got to the end anyway - I bought a network adapter for my PS2 and after that, a 100% of my gaming was online for the game.

I've been stuck on the 13th Colossus in Shadow of the colossus since roughly June/July '07 so around the 2 year benchmark.

Well if we're talking same level that I keep trying like, that's like 3 hours, but there's many times I'll get suck and either a) go to gamefaqs to figure out how to succeed b) just stop playing and never pick the game up again. But if we're talking playing a game getting stuck and just stop playing for awhile, probably Heavenly Sword last battle. played it like 40 times and stopped for like 6 months, came back one beat it on the first try. I was so shocked that I actually that I could of shed tears of joy.

I was stuck on Star Ocean: Till The End of Time for like 7 months, I gave up and went back at it.
After a few tries I got it. :D
Then I had to start over again cuz I lost my memory card and had to go buy a new one... lol

I played Kingdom Hearts 2 for like 11 hrs like last Summer. I was stuck on a boss.

I was stuck on the "Cradle" level on "00 Agent" difficulty for Nintendo 64's Goldeneye for ages... at least a month or two if I recall correctly.

Oo another game that comes to mind for me is DBZ Budokai 3 - I was stuck on killing Omega Shenron at the end of the game for days (probably played a total of 20 hours trying to finally beat him) - and I eventually got it - it wasn't as bad as my socom II freeze but it was annoying enough..

but later on my sis "accidentally" deleted saved games from my PS2 Memory card where I tried to get everything back again and then I got bored in the middle of the story line...

And I know I still didn't get all the secret item things and some of the jumps from my GTA Vice City game - like 5 years now lol, Haven't really tried to get them again

I thought Goldeneye was hard, but PD is ridiculous. As for the muliplayer challenges, impossible.

well i mostly play online games so i think the longest ive been stuck is in an iphone app called "crazy machines"... must be a couple of months now. there are just some lvls that are really hard but the good thing is you can just go to the next lvl xD

I don't really remember being stuck on a game for a long amount of time like that. I mean, every once in a while, it'll take me about 3 or 4 time of getting on and quitting to get past a level.

I got Ocarina of Time for Christmas the year it came out and I didn't finish it until July.

Some of it had to do with not having as much time to play but most of it had to do with it being the first Zelda game I had ever played and I had no idea what the hell I was doing.

CyGirls(PS2)-stuck trying to heat up the server room. I don't know if it was glitched or what, never could figure it out. That's been about 6 or so years. I gave up after a month or two of trying.

GTA Vice city-I can't remember his name but you gotta win a car race...I never could seem to beat him. about a year went on I even tried to use a rpg on the other car. I did finnally pick back up on it after around a year and finished the game.

Halo 3- Me and my fiance took on the task of legendary. By the time we got stuck on T. Highway with the wraiths. After moving and all the other life chores we went back to it. I'd say around 14 months we finnaly got our legendary status.

Stuck on unreal tournament campaign mode atm. The AI is being a douchebag, and all my comrades get themselves stuck inside the good veichle, inside our base so it's me on 6 others.... i fail obv.

I have never truly been stuck in a video game but a boss I still don't know how I defeated was the final boss from Devil May Cry 4. It was a battle I repeated 20 odd times and have no idea what I did to kill him.

I think I have been stuck in more games than it is worth counting. The 1 game that i got stuck on and still haven't figured out is Silent Hill, I haven't played for years cause of it, lol, but when you go through the dog house, shortly after that, is where i always got stuck, but then at that time i didn't have access to a strat guide so maybe i should look it up and try again. So to answer, forever. but atleast 4 + years till i gave up and never played the game again, besides, silent hill couldn't hold a candle to Resident Evil IMO.

usually if i get stuck to the point where it drives me crazy ill go on a walkthrough online, i especialy have to do it with oblivion since this game is so glitchy i could be stuck on a quest for days only to figure out thats its a glitch and ill never finish it! ha ha ha, there have been a few games on PC i got stuck on for a week or 2 then just gave up as the games were too hard, stupid problem solving puzzle games!! god i love them :P

However, when I was about 7 or 8 I got Zelda: Oracle of Time for Gameboy Color. To this day, I haven't beaten it =( I was stuck right before the final boss too haha
