I've had it , Summer has overworn it's welcome. It's needs to be winter time. I want the cold and snow(even though it doesn't snow nearly as much here as where I lived the previous 20 winters) It is 79 in the apt and the window feels like it's bringing in oven breezes. Make it stop! :mad1:

79? It's about 89 where I'm sitting right now - and it's about 95 or 96 outside. Compared to places like texas, this is actually really good..

But I'm just worried about my server and PC, the parts can get damaged if it gets too hot. (I think It's hotter in my room because of all the computer stuff I have running and they all blow out hot air)

And I'm trying to make it through the summer without an AC. But I'm with you on "I want the cold back" - I like cold weather a lot more than hot weather.

If I didn't have the AC running it'd probably be in the upper 80'. I probably should shut the windows but meh I like breezes compared to AC cool.

What summer? >:
Where I am we're finally getting a few weeks of consistent summerlike weather.

But I don't like much heat anyways because my hair goes nuts.
I'm a spring/fall person.

Well, sorry to rain on your parade, but Winter isn't ever coming.
Ever.
Because Global Warming is getting rid of it.

And I dunno, it's hot here, I like the fall the most.

ya global warming has showed his face as of late. I remember as a child we'd get feet and feet of snow. Now the past couple it's been green a lot of times and even had a couple green Christmases

last christmas, I saw people wearing short sleeved shirts and walking around - it was comfortable...I was one of those people with the t-shirts on

don't remember the year before

we barely had any super cold days this past winter like some of the other winter periods when I was younger...good times.

HEYHEYHEY GET THIS.

Earth went into an Ice Age, like 4 times I believe.
We got out of it, each time.

Glaciers?
They melt.

The sun gets cold, the sun gets hot, the sun gets cold, the sun gets hot, it's a freaking pattern!
It's nature!
You can't control it!

Oh yea, we left an ice age, and where would the pattern be gonig now?
Oh yea.
Ice Age.

Or, it gets hotter.
Nature would be wrong and the whole space time continum would be completely messed up, BUT you still couldn't control it.

So your saying that it's all about the cycles and humans are not at fault? Typical republican response.

Samus-Fan

Uh, yea, that's exactly what I'm saying.

But, you're right, patterns that have gone the exact same way for over millions upon millions of years mean nothing.
Typical Flaming Liberal response.

no one here is talking about controlling global warming, we're just here complaining about the heat

and the thing about Gore is that he was talking about global warming NOW, not global warming in general. Global warming was accelerated by humans and you better believe humans have had a huge effect on the earth's atmosphere since the start of the industrial revolution. There are ways to measure the green house gasses emitted by man made machines, including cars.

I do agree that it has happened many times over earth's history and we have had little control over all of the other ones but humans have had great control over the current warming period, we weren't even aware of it until a decade or two ago when scientists starting coming out with proof of the severe increases in greenhouse gases and then Al Gore came out with his documentary that just expanded the news.

thats the one thing I hate about the snow - I don't like shoveling it - and you have to shovel it quickly, otherwise it becomes hard and icy which makes you hammer the ground. At that point, I wish it was summer...life works in wonderful ways - always makes you wish you had the opposite

Lol wanting what you don't have is human nature!

I've had a pretty easy summer. I've been on 3rd so I miss all the heat during the day.

Everyone looks at me wierd though when I say it really hasn't been that hot this summer.

Its not too bad. Learning to sleep during the day is the hardest. I blacked my windows out and it helped a lot. 2nd just didn't give me enough time with my family. Now when winter comes its gonna be rough 20 degrees and no sun in sight.
