Hi there, as you might guess from the title, I need some hardware help. So, here is my situation. I recently picked up a computer from a computer lab that was getting newer ones. I managed to clear the cmos with the SW1 jumper, and reconfigured everything to my needs, I formated the c drive so I could freshly install Ubuntu, but afterwords, I found out that neither the CD drive nor the Floppy drive are working. So, I need to grab my CD drive from my Dell (which I know will work) and put it into my new computer. But, here is my problem: I have half of the screws undone, but the screws on the other side are smack against the case (the un-removable side) I was wondering if there is any way to remove the rest of the case without a crowbar.

what kind of case is it?
I tried getting a hard drive out for a friend a few months ago that had screws on the other side like yours and I just could not do it without totally messing up the other side of the case. If there is no physical way to remove the other side panel OR if you can't bring out the drive bay then physically, it's not possible to just unscrew and get it out, you will have to break one thing or another.
I have felt your frustration already - terrible feeling.

You can find cheap floppy for cd drives at flee markets all the time. Just get an old junky one, doesn't have to be a fast speed. You could probably pick one up for 5 dollars. Better than breaking a case apart.
