You can normally find adds for LAN parties in the paper. With a little research you can find local tournaments for games and such as well.

I've been part of lan parties - some private, some public but those were years back.

I've never been to a public one before, but Washington County Community college which is like 10 minutes from me always host 1 like once a month. I never went though.

I've been to a few private ones, just system linking 4 xboxes together with a router. Playing some Halo 3, that's really the only game I ever did a LAN with lol.

i have used LAN for NFL 09 on my PSP with this dude down the road, cause we were bored.

... and i have chated on the DS with him also.
