Hi there folks.
Ive decided to get a Mac gaming computer.
Spare me for the Mac vs Intel based discussion. Im going to do some serius video and picture editing aswell so basicly i need a Mac. To underline it i dont need that discussion in this thread i only need advise on whitch Mac to buy.

The only Mac ive seen with serius GFX hardware seems to be Mac Pro. They cost 24k+ Dkk. Are there alternatives?

I have used macs for about six years. Macs are not gaming computers at all. If you want a gaming computer get a PC. You can get a pc specifically for gaming. Which ones I have no idea because I don t know about PCs. But a lot of people do use pcs on this fourm so anyone one of them can help you on that. The only mac you can get right now is a mac book pro. Macs are great for video and picture editing. If you going to do graphic design, video edititing or anything related to art macs are great.

With 24k, I could definitely find something better to buy, for instance, a freaking CAR!

#2 Yeah i know they arent but the new Mac Pros have Windows, they seem to have a GFX card with nice speed aswell, the games could work running windows.

#3 I have a car. With two 6 minute movies completed i can have yet another Mac Pro for 24k so basicly after a very short time the computer has payed it self brilliant isnt it?

The average price of a Mac Pro is $2,599 US. For a second, you had me thinking ~$24,000 US for a computer because in the U.S., 24k equates to $24,000. That would be an insane price tag for a computer!

The title made me lol.

A mac gaming computer

HEEE HEEEEE

Otherwise I don't have much to add.

[Edit] Actually a question.
Is the video and picture editing stuff going to be a.... profession? Or a hobbie kind of thing?

Amazing how ignorant people can be even though i ask you not to comment on the pc/mac discussion.
I can see i whont get any help from this place to bad.

Both proffession and hobbie.

It wasn't really a pro pc comment. It was just a "gaming mac wat" comment.
Totally legit.

Also if it's for professional uses a mac will come in handy because it's the mainly used computing device used in the industry.
But generally speaking, if you want a mac for gaming. Money is an issue.

Money is not an issue.

I only need to know about alternatives to Mac Pro or is there no other Macs with nice 3dFX GFX cards?
