I just bought myself a LG GH22NS40 dvd burner yesterday because my old one that came from Sony messed up on me and it was short-lived... (only about 5-7 months of working, then died on Nov. 30, 09)
Anyway, I'm using Nero Express... (hope there's a better burning software out there...) and what is the recommended burning speed for music?
(memorex 52x cd-r) this is the cd-r's that I'm currently using....
Can you please help me out? Please no flaming.. I'm just asking an innocent question.

I use Nero 7, have had it for a while. And with burning, the slower the better, not quick of course, but the quality is good. I haven't burned any music CDs in a while so I don't know what I've used but doesn't nero select the best option for you ?
And for Music CDs, I usually use iTunes. Not the best software but it works for me. It's free, you could give it a try and see how it goes.

I tried itunes linux. The only problem is that my cd burner only detects nero.... that seems kind of odd. It doesn't detect the drive in itunes.... but hey I like that program too, dont get me wrong, I guess you got an ipod?
I only got a Zune (the 1st generation one)...

Yeah, I have iPods all over the house.
But now I think something is going on with the pc as a whole, probably registry errors with the OS or something because you have issues with viewing some sites, connecting with combat arms and your cd drive not being detected by programs other than Nero.

yeah I suppose my computer needs replacing.... =\
or a really good repair, this PC is just 2 years old, with Win XP and nothing really new.

Reinstalling the OS may fix the problem.
