I need to know if my laptop can connect to a tv, and if there are any concerns about doing so.
I'll also need to know what cords and **** I'll need to hook it up.
My laptop is Acer Aspire 5735Z Review (http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4847&review=acer+aspire+5735)
That.
I'm pretty sure I could but I faintly remember hearing about laptops being hooked up to tvs and then the screen would f up.
SO ANY HELP ON THIS WOULD BE GRAND.

That laptop seems to have a VGA Port so you'd need a VGA cable. But your PC would have to have that port available too.
You should first look at what your TV supports and if it's not the same type of connection, you could buy adapters. But you'd definitely need a VGA cord for your laptop side. If your TV handles DVI then a VGA to DVI adapters are easy to find and most Graphics cards nowadays gives them out for free.
And nothing would happen to the screen if you configure it correctly. You just have to make sure that your GPU is providing connection to a dual monitor system. Should be easy to do once the connections are in.
I've done it plenty of times with my laptops and tvs and projectors and even other computer monitors to set up multiple displays - never had a problem with the screen messing up in any way.

Thank youuuuuu
I probably have the proper cord somewhere in my "miscellaneous" cord pile, so that shouldn't be hard.
if that's basically all I need then.. IM GOOD TO GO <:
Just gotta check out my tv and find the right cord.
Awesome.
Thanks again.
